ST. LOUIS -- Everything is going right for Doug Weight and the Blues.

Weight and Dallas Drake each scored two goals to give the St. Louis Blues a 6-3 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night.

"It feels good to come out there and be able to do the things I'm capable of doing," Weight said. "I'm getting a lot more confident."

Weight's first of the game came at 1:09 of the third period to make it 4-1 and extend his points streak to 10 games. He then scored his seventh this season at 14:36 when Weight took a pass from Cory Stillman, skated in and beat Toronto goalie Trevor Kidd.

"Doug's been great all year, he's one of the top players out there," Blues coach Joel Quenneville said. "You can see him getting more confident, and his linemates are the beneficiaries of that."

Al MacInnis and Jamal Mayers also scored for St. Louis. Mikael Renberg had two goals for Toronto. Mats Sundin scored the other goal for Toronto, on a four-game winless streak on the road (0-2-2).

The Maple Leafs have not won away from home since opening night at Pittsburgh.

"We're going to have to get through this," Toronto coach Pat Quinn said. "We created chances but we found ways to give them easy chances to score goals."

Weight knows about battling through tough times after enduring an injury-riddled last season that saw him score only 15 goals.

"The main thing I learned is to be confident and to continue to play my game," Weight said. "I'm glad I'm able to show the fans and the team what I'm capable of.

"Last year was a real struggle but I'll never apologize for how hard I worked."

Toronto has managed only two wins in 10 games (2-6-2), while St. Louis won for the ninth time in 10 games, despite going 2-for-10 on the power play.

"We had a decent game but we had a lot of breakdowns," Toronto forward Alexander Mogilny said. "Everybody tried, but St. Louis has a lot of confidence in themselves and they came out ready to play."

Quinn said that his team's effort has been consistent, but the results have been lacking.

"We're in a tough spot," Quinn said. "We've got a lot of good people in our dressing room and collectively we're not getting it done."

Fred Brathwaite, who stopped 18 shots, won for the fifth time in six starts.

Sundin gave the Maple Leafs the lead 3:42 in. Sundin intercepted a pass at the blue line and beat Brathwaite for his sixth of the season.

St. Louis tied it at 6:15 of the first on MacInnis' power-play goal. Drake gave the Blues a 2-1 lead at 13:14 when he took a pass from Mayers and chopped the puck past Kidd.

Drake capped the scoring at 17:11 of the third.

Kidd, making his first start since Oct. 17 against Phoenix, made 17 saves.
