MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Southeast Missouri State University got two home runs each from Eric Hoffman and Brent Lawson as the Indians completed a three-game Ohio Valley Conference sweep of Morehead State with a 17-10 victory on Sunday.

The Indians finished with five home runs on their way to handing coach Mark Hogan his 300th victory at Southeast. Hogan, in his 10th year at Southeast, has compiled a 300-228-1 record.

Southeast, which scored 11 runs over the final three innings, improved to 21-23 overall and 11-9 in the OVC. Morehead State fell to 12-33 overall and 5-16 in the conference.

Hoffman and Lawson each played major roles, combining for seven of the Indians' 18 hits, scoring six runs and driving in seven more. Hoffman went 4-for-6 with three RBIs, while Lawson was 3-for-6 with four RBIs.

Winning pitcher Anthony Maupin (6-5) struggled on the mound but went the distance. Maupin surrendered 15 hits and 10 earned runs in nine innings. He struck out seven and walked three. After Morehead State had already scored four runs in the ninth, Maupin escaped a bases-loaded jam with nobody out.

Leading 2-1, the Indians upped their advantage to 5-1 in the third on a solo home run from Hoffman and a two-run blast from Lawson.
