The Burger King Capahas tacked on the game-tying run in the bottom of the seventh inning against Millstadt, Illinois, just before rain interrupted the first-round action in the Valmeyer Tournament, halting play in a 2-2 deadlock Saturday in Valmeyer, Illinois.

Tyler Qualls delivered his second hit of the game when he scored Cam Womack on a two-out single that pulled the Capahas into a 2-all tie.

The Capahas took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first before Millstadt countered with a run each in the third and fifth to take a 2-1 advantage. The game was suspended with Alex Heuring at the plate with two down.

Brady Wright got the start for the Capahas and threw seven solid innings. He struck out 11 batters, walked three and allowed two runs -- both earned -- on eight hits.

Drew Morecraft had three hits to pace the Capahas on offense.

The eight-team tournament will resume action at 8 a.m. today, weather permitting.
