PIEDMONT, MO. — The Portageville volleyball team (16-2-2) continues to make a splash this season, winning the Clearwater Tournament this past weekend with unmatched skill and a tidal wave of determination.

“I felt we played well in that tournament,” said Lady Bulldogs’ coach Sasha Kellam. “I was super excited for our team to be invited because I knew the teams would be highly competitive. We played hard all day long. I’m always proud of our girls, but winning that tournament was just awesome. I was happy for my girls and what they accomplished that day. I know I say this a lot, but truly, everyone played so well. When someone wasn’t having their best set, someone else would step up.”

Portageville won over Greenville (2-3) with set scores of 25-20 and 25-11, and split matches with West County (5-6-3) and Doniphan (7-6-1) with scores of 15-25, 25-18, and 25-21, 18-25 in pool play, respectively.
