COLUMBIA — All 11 Bootheel-playing volleyball schools have learned their upcoming postseason fate.
The Missouri State High School Activities Association released draws last week for district tournaments set to begin later in October.
Class 3 District 1
Kennett will play Fredericktown at 6:30 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 19, at Dexter High School with the winner to face Saxony Lutheran on Oct. 23.
Class 2 District 1
Malden will square off with Caruthersville at 6:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 18, with the winner advancing to take on Portageville Oct. 19.
Senath-Hornersville will face the winner of an opening-round match between New Madrid County Central and East Prairie. The Lions’ match is slated for 5 p.m. Oct. 19, with Malden High School serving as host for the tournament.
Class 1 District 1
Southland will play versus Delta C-7 (Deering) at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, with Cooter facing Hayti at 5 p.m., the same day at South Pemiscot High School in Steele.
Holcomb has been given the first-round bye, and the Hornets will take on either South Pemiscot or North Pemiscot at 5 p.m. Oct. 23.
Class 1 District 2
Clarkton takes on Campbell at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 20 while Risco will face Bernie at 7 p.m., at Gideon High School.
The winner of the Risco/Bernie match will face Gideon on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 3 p.m.
