Leopold freshman Darren VanGennip tossed a no-hitter in his first high school start Friday, and Victor Vandeven had two RBIs as the Wildcats knocked off visiting Zalma 7-0.
VanGennip struck out 14 and walked four.
Vandeven led Leopold (2-3) with three hits, and Eric Seiler and Eric Fluchel added two hits apiece.

Oran bounced back from its first loss of the season to rout Delta at home.

Dooley struck out 12 and walked just one to even his record at 2-2. Chris Hanback had a pair of doubles and a solo home run to pace Chaffee's 14-hit attack.
Josh Steger added three hits for the Red Devils (4-5). Dooley and Jerrod Steger added two hits apiece.

Jenni Tenholder netted the game-winning goal from 45 yards out in the second overtime to help Jackson advance to the second round of the tournament in Springfield, Mo.
The Indians (5-3) will play today at 10:15 a.m.
"The girls played phenomenal tonight," Jackson coach Zack Walton said. "They played some good defense against some good players."
Kylie Werner made 10 saves in goal for the shutout.
