The annual Tour de Girardot Cycling Classic will be held April 19-20.

The two-day event will consist of a four-mile time trial, road race and criterium race.

Saturday's competition, for United States Cycling Federation members only, begins at 8 a.m. Saturday on Route K with the four-mile time trial. Competitors will start near Gordonville and race East on Route K.

Two road races will be held Saturday afternoon, beginning and ending at Trail of Tears State Park. The 63-mile expert race begins at 12:30 p.m. and a 42-mile amateur race at 3:50 p.m.

Sunday's criterium races begin at 8 a.m.

Youth races will be held for the general public Sunday afternoon. There will be no entry fee and the first 100 entrants will receive helmets and T-shirts.

The youth races will be held at Doctors' Park on a .8-mile course. Ages and times: Kids races at 2:15, ages 5-6 at 2:35, ages 7-8 at 2:45, ages 9-10 at 2:55, ages 11-12 at 3:10 and ages 13-14 at 3:25.

Youth registration can be made up to 20 minutes before the races.

Youth registration forms can be picked up at St. Francis Medical Center's Central Marketing Department and at Universal Physique.
