Meadow Heights scored back-to-back buckets in the first quarter to close within a point of top-seeded Charleston.
The Bluejays erased any doubt after that in their opening-round game Monday at the Southeast Missourian Christmas tournament.
Charleston went on a 34-0 run after the Panthers' baskets to run away to a 108-16 victory.
The Bluejays ended the first quarter on a 26-0 run after Meadow Heights' two baskets.
The run finally ended on a basket by Meadow Heights senior Hunter Fulbright with 5 minutes, 43 seconds left before halftime.
But the Bluejays finished the first half on a 53-4 run after the Panthers had pulled within a point.
Charleston continued to pour it on in the third quarter by outscoring the Panthers by 31 points.
Greg Tucker led Charleston with 20 points, while Jamaul Gray added 15.
Fulbright paced the Panthers with six points.
