The Golden Eagles (18-10) advanced to the semifinals, where they will face Austin Peay on Friday in Nashville. The Governors knocked off Samford 71-60 earlier Tuesday in Alabama.

Eastern Illinois, which led 32-22 at halftime, finished its season 11-15.

Alonzo Hird had 15 points and 14 rebounds to lead Eastern Kentucky to a 74-68 victory over Tennessee State in Richmond, Ky.

Eastern (20-8) will play Southeast Missouri (15-13), a 61-58 opening-round winner Tuesday over Murray State, in the semifinals Friday in Nashville, Tenn.

Hird, who scored nine points in the second half, led five players in double figures. Michael Haney added 14 points, Jason McLeish 12 and Zach Ingles and Ben Rushing 10 apiece.

Rod Flowers and Wayne Arnold led Tennessee State (14-17) with 14 points each, and Reiley Ervin scored 10.
