CLASS 5
Jackson (5-5) at Chaminade (7-3)
Last week: Jackson 27, Central 14; Chaminade 21, Webster Groves 13.
Outlook: Jackson, the District 1 runner-up which is making its second straight appearance in the Class 5 playoffs, will play on the road against District 2 runner-up Chaminade tonight. The Jackson defense at times struggled to stop Central running back Cantrell Andrews last week, and it faces another tough challenge tonight against Flyers running back Rob Standard, who has carried 255 times for 2,226 yards and 28 touchdowns. Jackson coach Van Hitt said the best part of Chaminade is its offensive line. Hitt said he might use four defensive linemen instead of three. He said his team is healthy with all regular starters expected to play. Chaminade is 3-2 at home and 4-1 on the road.
CLASS 3
Perryville (3-7) at Ste. Genevieve (9-1)
Last week: New Madrid County Central 34, Perryville 0; Ste. Genevieve 70, Fredericktown 46

The Pirates lost to the Dragons 41-17 in Week 3 this season, but trailed just 20-17 after three quarters. Perryville looks do a better job closing out the halves. The first time they met this year, Ste. Genevieve outscored Perryville 13-0 in the second quarter and 21-0 in the fourth quarter. Ste. Genevieve quarterback Kory Faulkner has received interest from Nebraska, Southern Illinois and Iowa. He completed 17-of-28 attempts for 273 yards earlier this season against Perryville.
CLASS 2
Malden (3-7) at Scott City (4-5)
Last week: Festus St. Pius 28, Scott City 22; Malden 28, East Prairie 14,
Outlook: Both teams have reason to the encouraged as they enter tonight's game. Malden pulled off an upset of East Prairie on Thursday to earn a berth in the playoffs. The Rams can lean on their victory over the Green Wave earlier this season. Malden's new weapon is Raphael Jones, who rushed for 465 yards on 55 carries in three district games. He didn't have a 100-yard game before district play started. "They've changed some things a little bit," Scott City coach Ronnie Jones said of Malden. "They're spreading it out a little more, like everyone seems to be doing this year, to get more of the one-on-one situations." Jones only had 11 yards on four carries when the teams played earlier this season. In that previous meeting, the game was scoreless until the third quarter. Scott City pulled ahead 7-6 in the fourth quarter, and added a late score, with 9 seconds left, to pull out the 14-6 win. Much like the first meeting, tonight's game should come down to the wire.

Last week: Hayti 14, St. Vincent 9; Valle Catholic 62, Paris 21
