Jackson (0-2) at Pattonville (1-1)

Last week: Rockwood Summit 18, Jackson 0; Pattonville 42, Ritenour 13

Last year: Did not play.

Notes: First meeting between the schools. Pattonville is ranked No. 5 in Class 6. Jackson is 0-2 for the first time since 1998, when it opened the season 0-3. Pattonville rushed on 42 of 46 plays last week, accumulating 345 yards. Running backs Corey Henley and Brian Quinn combined for 35 carries and 285 yards. Henley led Suburban North Conference in all-purpose yardage as a junior. Jackson has committed eight turnovers through two games. Crystal City (1-1) at Chaffee (0-2)

Last week: Montgomery Co. 48, Crystal City 0; Corning (Ark.) 40, Chaffee 25

Last year: Did not play.

Notes: First meeting since 1991 when Chaffee won 13-0. Crystal City yielded 543 yards of offense in loss to Montgomery Co., including 374 yards in the air and four touchdown passes. Chaffee could exploit same weakness. Red Devils senior quarterback Sam Burnett passed for 238 yards on 12 of 15 passing. He threw for three touchdowns -- all to James Reischman, who finished with 136 yards receiving.

Chaffee coach Allan Horrell: "Montgomery Co. just picked them apart. Passing is our strength and I hope it gives us a little bit of an advantage, too."Scott City (0-2) at East Prairie (0-2)

Last week: Portageville 39, Scott City 0; Cairo (Ill.) 28, East Prairie 22

Last year: East Prairie 35, Scott City 14

Notes: Scott City is still looking for its first points of the season. Rams committed six turnovers -- five fumbles -- last week with two taken in for touchdowns. Accumulated just 42 yards total offense in loss. East Prairie led 22-8 going into fourth quarter against Cairo before late collapse.

Scott City coach Jason Burkman: "This is probably one of the better East Prairie teams in a while. They come off the ball well. They're not huge, but they have decent size... We just need to have a big game offensively and gain some confidence."Perryville (0-2) at North County (2-0)

Last week: Ste. Genevieve 38, Perryville 0; North County 37, Soldan 0

Last year: North County 40, Perryville 6

Notes: Raiders have defeated Pirates by a combined 84-13 the last two years and won the last four meetings in lopsided fashion (170-19). Soldan had more total yardage than Raiders in 37-point loss but hurt by six turnovers. Junior quarterback Adam Howard has completed 24 of 33 passes (72.3 percent), topped 200 yards both games and thrown four touchdown passes. His top target is senior Alex Winters, who has 10 catches for 183 yards. Perryville has suffered shutouts its first two games of season. Pirates have inserted Scott City transfer Steven Posey at guard, moving Jacob Bachmann to tight end. TB/LB Joel Kurre should be closer to 100 percent after a serious bout with a virus.

Perryville coach Lance Bell: "We just have to get a win, but first of all we have to get a point. We need to get on the board and hopefully that will carry over."St. Vincent (1-1) at Potosi (0-2)

Last week: Park Hills 30, St. Vincent 0; Sullivan 34, Potosi 22

Last year: Did not play.

Notes: Both teams had problems stopping the run last week. St. Vincent surrendered 334 yards rushing and nearly 7.5 yards a carry in loss to Park Hills. Potosi yielded 360 yards and nearly 7 yards a carry in loss to Sullivan. Teams haven't met since 1993 when both were members of the MAAA.

St. Vincent coach Keith Winkler: "We didn't come out and execute the way we thought we could. We lost focus and didn't carry out assignments and that's something we need to get back to. We need to get back to basics and do our assignments and good things will happen. They have a scrappy quarterback, a couple of nice receivers and are big up front."
