STARSn Mo Williams, Alabama, scored a career-high 33 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and had six assists to lead Alabama to an 86-78 victory over Florida Atlantic in the South Regional.

Brian Brown, Ohio State, scored a career-high 33 points and the Buckeyes held off Davidson 69-64 in the West Regional.

UPSETS OF THE DAYFourth-seeded Southern California rallied from a 19-point deficit to force overtime, but 13th-seeded North Carolina Wilmington came up with a stunning 93-89 victory in the South Regional. ... Gonzaga, a team that has made deep runs into the tournament with low seedings a habit in recent years, was on the other end of an upset -- a 73-66 loss to 11th-seeded Wyoming in the West Regional.

SHOT OF THE DAYGreg Harrington made a runner in the lane with 14.6 seconds left to lift 12th-seeded Tulsa past No. 5 Marquette 71-69 in the East Regional.

Kansas barely avoided becoming the first top seed to make a first-round exit, holding off 16th-seeded Holy Cross 70-59 in the Midwest .

Florida Atlantic, trying to become just the fifth 15th-seeded team to knock off a No. 2, matched heavily favored Alabama for nearly 33 minutes before the Crimson Tide pulled away for an 86-78 victory in the South .

Davidson, seeded 13th and going for its first NCAA win since Lefty Driesell was its coach in 1969, led Ohio State 59-58 with 4 1/2 minutes left before losing 69-64 in the West .STREAKS
