Terry Kitchen, a former athlete, coach and athletic director at Cape Central High School, will be inducted to the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame on Saturday, Jan. 20.

The induction will take place at the annual luncheon held at Capitol Plaza in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Kitchen’s wife, Barb and their two sons Cory and Tatum will be in attendance to accept the honor on his behalf.

Kitchen, who died in 2019 at the age of 66, coached the Tigers baseball team and became the winningest coach in program history, amassing a record of 212-76.

After his time as coach, Kitchen went on the become the athletic director at Cape Central High School.

In 1996, Kitchen was named Athletic Director of the Year by M.I.A.A.

In 2018, Kitchen received the Semoball Awards Lifetime Achievement Award.
