Tennis teams from Dexter, Jackson, Poplar Bluff and Sikeston did their part to crush cancer Friday, March 22, in the sixth annual Courts for Cancer tournament.
Courts for Cancer is a community service event founded by Eric and Kristi Boles of Dexter.
In 2018, Boles son was diagnosed with cancer. During these trying times, love and support from the local community provided strength, according to the family.
In appreciation, the Boles want to go above and beyond the court lines to give back.

• Courts for Cancer, which assists local educators or students who are currently battling cancer.
• 18 Fore Life
• Friends of Kids with Cancer
The tournament bracket consisted of four flights, including two singles flights and two doubles flights.
Flight 1— Singles champion Tavian Towns from Poplar Bluff.
Flight 2 — Singles champion Trenton Schorey from Jackson.
Flight 1 — Doubles champions Lawson Blocker/Cooper Worley from Dexter.
