COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Casey Roberts' 42-yard field goal in overtime Saturday gave Tennessee Tech a 16-13 win over Murray State.
Murray State (5-4, 3-2 Ohio Valley Conference) tied the game at 13-13 with 7:00 minutes remaining in the third quarter on Rob Hart's 20-yard field goal.
Hart missed a 51-yard field goal and watched a 47-yard attempt hit the upright in the fourth quarter that would have given Murray State the lead.
Murray State got on the scoreboard in the first quarter on Hart's 37-yard field goal. Tennessee Tech (5-3, 3-2) took a 6-3 advantage later in the quarter on Jerome Tillman's 1-yard touchdown run.
E. Kentucky 49, Tenn.-Martin 0
RICHMOND, Ky. -- Simon Fuentes was a perfect 8-of-8 on passes and threw for three touchdowns -- in the first quarter -- as Eastern Kentucky crushed Tennessee-Martin 49-0 Saturday in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Tennessee-Martin (0-9, 0-7) was held to just 160 yards of total offense. With Eastern (5-3, 4-0) leading 28-0 after one quarter, Fuentes was relieved by Waylon Chapman, who threw for 186 yards and one touchdown.
E. Illinois 21, Indiana St. 14
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Justin Lynch rushed for two touchdowns, including a 4-yard tie-breaking run in the fourth quarter, to lead Eastern Illinois to a 21-14 victory Saturday over Indiana State.
Eastern Illinois (8-1) scored first on a 17-yard Lynch run, but Indiana State (3-6) answered with a 1-yard scoring pass from Matt Gajewski to Brent Cooper and a 4-yard Gajewski pass to Ames in the third quarter.
