Scott won gold in the 400 freestyle by touching the wall in 4 minutes, 38 seconds. She then captured a bronze in the 50 freestyle, finishing in 29.54.

"Not a bad start at all," U.S. national coach Dave Denniston said in a release. "We're looking forward to the rest of the meet."

The meet continues through Sunday.
