~ The former SEMO forward scored seven points before fouling out
Former Southeast Missouri State forward Tyler Stone made his professional basketball debut on Saturday in the Orlando Pro Summer League, which features young players trying to earn or solidify roster spots or roles on NBA teams.
Stone played 15 minutes for the Indiana Pacers before fouling out. He scored seven points while making three of his five shot attempts.
Stone also collected three rebounds -- two defensive and one offensive -- and had two assists to go along with one turnover.
The Pacers lost to the Brooklyn Nets 101-81. Donald Sloan, who played in 48 games for the Pacers last season, scored a team-high 21 points while the Nets were led by former Duke star Mason Plumlee.
Plumlee, who made the NBA All-Rookie Team after last season, had 23 points and seven rebounds.
The Pacers next game is at 2 p.m. Monday against the Boston Celtics, another team Stone worked out for prior to the NBA draft. The Celtics' roster includes former Missouri point guard Phil Pressey and the recently drafted James Young and Marcus Smart.
All games league games, which conclude on Friday, will be shown on NBA TV.
