State run was a proud finish for Oran seniors

To the editor:

I want to congratulate the boys at Oran High School on a fine career. I have followed you or competed against you from the days of little league baseball to junior high basketball and throughout our great rivalry the past two years in high school basketball.

I know how bad you must feel, but don't hang your head. Just because you didn't win the state championship doesn't mean you didn't succeed. In life, you have to define your own success. You guys worked hard, you played together, and you cared about each other. Any group that can do that is pretty successful in my book.

Not many people can say they did the things you guys did. So to Nate, Joey, Tyler, Trey, Tyler, Garrett, Matt, Ryne, Patrick and the coaches at Oran, congratulations on another great season. DAVID HEEB
