The state-ranked Advance baseball team hammered host Puxico 11-0 in five innings on Wednesday.
The Hornets scored four runs in the first inning on a grand slam by Jeremy Limbaugh.
Daryl Wade improved to 5-0 by allowing just two hits and striking out eight in five innings.
Wade and James Masters each had two hits for Advance (13-0).

Pitcher Andy Stevens drove in three runs, and Kyle Curry drove in three runs for the Rams in a home victory.
The Rams (5-7) scored six runs in the first two frames. Scott City added five more in the fifth and sixth innings to gain some comfort room.
Curry and Stevens each went 3-for-3. Stevens also had two doubles.

Tyrone Reece pitched a shutout and the Tigers pounded out 10 hits in a road victory.
Reece hurled five innings for Central (11-10), giving up no runs and four hits while striking out four.
Leading the offense were Brandon Cooper, who was 3-for-4 with a double; and Scott Brueckner, who was 2-for-5 with a double. Ty Craft and Brad LaBruyere chipped in with doubles.

Oran used scoring bursts of three runs in the first inning and four in the third to post a win on the road.
Leading the way for the Eagles (10-5) was Joey Williams, who went 3-for-3 at the plate. Paul Bucher and pitcher Austin Dumey each had two hits.
Dumey improved to 4-1 with the win.

Central edged Jackson in a dual meet at Kimbeland Country Club in Jackson.
"That was a good score for us," Central coach Dick Wadlington said. "Anytime you break 150 in high school golf, that's good. That pretty much means all of your golfers are in the 30s. We've done that about five times now."
For Central (13-0-1), junior Blake Driskell led the way with a 1-under-par 34. Zach Kluesner shot a 37, Kirk Lohman carded a 38, and Sam Bornstein rounded out the Tigers' scoring with a 39.
For Jackson, Josh Wheeler tied Driskell for the low round at 34. Ryan Mouser added a 36, Gabe Sauer shot a 39, and Alex Balsman scored a 40.
Delta fell to Shawnee, Ill. in a tight game on the road.
"We were hitting the ball hard, just right at them," Delta coach Laura Brown said. "They really knew how to get to the ball. We had to steal bases just to get in position to score and then steal home to get on the board. It was just a tough night."
The Bobcats are now 11-2 on the season and will face Leopold on Satuday on the road.
Sophomore pitcher Kayla Seabaugh suffered her first loss in three decisions this spring.

Scott City won at home, pounding out 14 hits in three innings.
The Rams (17-3) had just one extra-base hit -- a triple by Ashton Phillips. Scott City scored 14 runs in the first inning.
Pitcher Emily Essner led the way offensively, going 3-for=3. Alana Newell and Lindsey Amick chipped in with two hits apeice.
Essner picked up her 16th pitching victory in 18 decisions this season.

Saxony Lutheran finished second to Hayti in the boys division, Scott City was second to Caruthersville in the girls meet.
Brandon Etzold won the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs for Saxony, which also won the 3,200 and 1,600 relay events. Grant Lehmann also won the 200 and 400 for Saxony, and Chaffee's Volkerding won the long jump and the 300 hurdles.
Scott City girls track had a double-winner in Braun on the 100 and 300 hurdles.

Jackson scored all of its goals in a span of 19 minutes to beat Perryville.
"It's a true credit to them and how well they played," Perryville coach Stacie Sargent said. "To come right at us like that and score nice goals, you have to give them credit."
