STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. -- The St. Vincent boys basketball team saw almost all of a 20-point second-half lead disappear, but the Indians held on to finish third in the six-team Ste. Genevieve Tournament.
St. Vincent (5-2) knocked off St. Pius 70-68 Saturday night in the consolation game of the round-robin event.
Tyler Wengert scored 26 points and Matt Wengert added 13 for the Indians, who led 39-22 at halftime and pushed the advantage to 20 with a 3-pointer early in the third quarter.

ST. LOUIS -- Jackson boasted three champions as it totaled 263 points to win its six-team pool in a 12-team tournament at Mehlville High School.
Completing perfect 5-0 days were Jackson's Michael Sladek (125), Shawn Hinkebein (140) and Greg Ludwig (145).
