The St. Vincent golf team capped its regular season in style with a win at the Jefferson County Conference Tournament on Monday at Fourche Valley Golf Course in Potosi, Mo.
The Indians finished with a 359, 11 strokes ahead of regular-season conference champion Windsor. Hillsboro rounded out the top three with a 358. Perryville finished fifth with a 381.
Corey Brueckner topped the field with an 80 while St. Vincent senior teammate Zach Richardet came in second with an 81. Lucas Schumer was ninth with an 87 and Zach Rozier rounded out St. Vincent's top four with a 91.
St. Vincent will compete as a team at the Class 1 state golf tournament May 14 and 15 at Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield, Mo.
Dexter 168, Notre Dame 172
Brandon Pleimann shot a 40 to lead Notre Dame.
Chance Holden of Dexter was the medalist with a 39.
Brett Slaten shot a 43 for the Bulldogs, John Oliver shot a 44 and Jack Wedemeier shot a 45.

Kory Kitchen delivered a bases-clearing double in a four-run first to give the Tigers a road win.
Brad LaBruyere struck out 12 and did not walk a batter in a complete-game win. Central improved to 13-8.
The Central junior varsity team lost 5-4.

Yamnitz struck out seven and did not issue a walk.
Clint Robinson and Greg Rellegert each went 3-for-3 for St. Vincent (5-12-1). Greg Finger, Derek Studerer and Yamnitz each had two hits.

Saxony splits doubleheader
Saxony Lutheran used a four-run seventh inning to split a doubleheader with Christ Our Savior Lutheran.
Kory Mueller had three hits, including a double and a home run in the 8-7 win. Saxony trailed 7-4 heading into the seventh, but Bryan Steffens tied the game with a bases-clearing double with two outs and Peter Winningham won the game with a single.
Saxony lost the opener 2-0. The Crusaders had just five hits in the loss. Mueller had two hits for the Crusaders in the loss.

Five Bulldogs scored as Notre Dame dumped Central.
Notre Dame jumped ahead 1-0, but Central answered when Sarah Uptmor scored on a penalty kick. Notre Dame scoredfour unanswered goals to seal the win.
"Cape played very hard tonight," Notre Dame coach Jeff Worley said. "It was back and forth."
Meridith Medlin, Brooke Beussink, Mindy Siebert, Courtney Luehmann and Taylor Sanders scored for Notre Dame. Siebert had three assists while Destiny Dirnberger, Amanda Pleimann and Medlin each had one assist.
Notre Dame improved to 13-2-1 while Central dropped to 7-12-1.
Jackson game called due to lightning
Jackson's game at Poplar Bluff on Monday was called due to lightning. The Indians are scheduled to host Perryville on Wednesday.

Delta held Scott County Central hitless in a three-inning rout.
Taylor Smith led Delta (13-2) with four hits while Sara Blattel and Amanda Seabaugh had three hits apiece. Blattel and Seabaugh each hit a home run.
