Liz Brueckner scored two goals as she led St. Vincent to a 4-0 victory over Gateway Academy in the Class 1 District 1 title game Wednesday.

St. Vincent (17-5) advanced to play a quarterfinal contest next Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Anheuser-Busch Center. It will play either Lutheran North or St. Elizabeth.

Brueckner scored the Indians second and fourth goals. She also assisted the third goal which was scored by Abbie Lappe.

Courtney Besand scored the first goal. It was assisted by Rachel Sutterer. Megan Sutterer added the assist on the second goal.

Anne Steele recorded the shutout in net as she played the first 70 minutes and made two saves.

Jackson 2, Fox 0

Bobbi Jo Schlick and Hannah Roach each scored goals to lead the Indians past Fox in the Class 3 District 1 championship game.

Schlick scored in the first half on an assist from Roach. In the second half it was just the opposite, as Roach scored and was assisted by Schlick.

Jackson plays the winner of Class 3 District 2 on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Anheuser-Busch Center.

Notre Dame 2, Sikeston 1

Allyson Bradshaw scored an unassisted goal with six minutes remaining to help Notre Dame escape with 2-1 victory over Sikeston in the Class 2 District 1 semifinal.

"(Allyson) had about three or four similar opportunites throughout the game, and she just hit a great shot above the box," Notre Dame coach Jeff Worley said.

Anna Wren found the back of the net, with an assist from Kelsey Westrich, about 18 minutes into the second half.

Sikeston tied the game with 11 minutes left.

Notre Dame goalkeeper Brianna Ziegler recorded four saves. The Bulldogs recorded 33 shots to Sikeston's five.

Notre Dame (16-3) will play Perryville for the Class 2, District 1 title tonight at 6 p.m. It is a rematch of last year's district title game, which Perryville won.
