PADUCAH, Ky. -- Third-seeded Tennessee Tech won the Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Tournament on Saturday with a 9-2 victory over fifth-seeded Austin Peay at Brooks Stadium.
Tennessee Tech (32-28) accounted for both of Austin Peay's losses in the six-team double-elimination tournament.
In the championship game, Tennessee Tech broke open a tight game with six runs over the final two innings.
The victory gives Tennessee Tech the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Baseball Championships.
