The list of honors for Southeast Missouri State University pitcher Todd Pennington continued to roll in Tuesday as he was named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Pitcher of the Week.
Pennington, who on Monday was named OVC Pitcher of the Week for the fourth time, went 2-0 last week, allowing no earned runs and six hits in 12 innings, with 17 strikeouts.
A junior right-hander who has hurled 25 straight scoreless innings, Pennington leads the nation's Division I pitchers in earned-run average at 0.82. He is also tied for 11th nationally in wins with 10 and ranks 12th in strikeouts per nine innings at 11.7.
