BRENTWOOD, Tenn. -- The Ohio Valley Conference Board of Presidents voted unanimously to conduct the OVC Baseball Tournament in Paducah, Ky., for the next three years during the league's annual summer meetings last week in Morehead, Ky.

This year's tournament was held at renovated Brooks Stadium in Paducah, which marked the first time in the OVC's 53-year history that the baseball championship was conducted at a neutral site.

In other action, the presidents voted to renew the contract of OVC Commissioner Dan Beebe through June 30, 2004. Beebe is completing his 12th year at the OVC.

The board selected Dr. Kenneth W. Dobbins, president of Southeast Missouri State University, to serve as president of the OVC in 2001-02, and Dr. Sherry Hoppe, president of Austin Peay State University, to serve as vice president of the conference in 2001-02.
