The Sports Reach team is coached by Southeast assistant Tom Schuberth, who reports that DeMond has performed well.

"He's played really well against top competition," said Schuberth, who added that DeMond had 12 points, eight rebounds and four blocks when the Sports Reach team beat an Australian professional squad in its first game in China.
