Sissy Burnett posted the top score Tuesday in the J.C. Chip-A-Ways ladies golf league at Cape Jaycee Municipal Golf Course.

Three women tied atop the "B" flight: Linda Mahy, Carol Brown and Bonnie Miller.

Sharon Dow had the low putts.

Deanna Peterman won the play of the day, which was "count the odd holes."

Mack makes mark in MARS standings

Joey Mack of Benton, Mo., finished eighth of 22 cars in the Mid America Racing Series "A" feature race Friday night at Bolivar Speedway in Bolivar, Mo.

Mack now stood in seventh place on the series standings heading into Saturday night.

Only five different drivers had posted wins in the first 11 races of the year. Mack was still seeking his first victory.
