Arnhart, Davis score aces at Kimbeland; Curtis scores hole in one at Cape Jaycee course
Mack adds win to eventful month
Auto racer Joey Mack of Benton, Mo., picked up a win Friday at the Camden Speedway in Camden, Tenn., to solidify a successful month of June.
Mack added three top-five finishes and another top-10 effort in his races this month.
He led every lap Friday to take home a $2,000 top prize.
Previously, he had finished fourth at Malden Speedway, second at Poplar Bluff Speedway and seventh on Saturday at I-44 Speedway in Lebanon, Mo. He had won his heat Saturday, rallying from last to earn a spot in the feature.
"It was a pretty good month for us, especially last weekend at Camden and I-44," Mack said in a press release. "At Camden, our car was really good all night long. It felt good to go over there and win that $2,000 last Friday night. Then at I-44, we just had some bad luck early in the night, but overcame it to finish seventh."
Mack races Friday at Malden and Saturday at I-44 before returning to the Stacker2 Mid-America Racing Series on July 8 at Bolivar Speedway and July 9 at I-44. Other MARS stops are July 16 at Poplar Bluff, July 22 at Memphis Motorsports Park and July 23 at Tri-State Speedway in Oklahoma.
Arnhart, Davis score aces at Kimbeland
June 21 was a big day for aces at Kimbeland Country Club in Jackson.
A.D. Arnhart, 86, of Jackson, made his first career hole in one on that day, scoring a 1 on the 90-yard, par-3 12th hole.

"I've only been playing 20-some-odd years," Arnhart said Wednesday. "It must have been sheer luck."
Arnhart used an 8-iron. The feat was witnessed by Marvin Adams and John Kenner.
* Also that day, Dick Davis of Cape Girardeau aced the 156-yard, par-3 18th hole at Kimbeland Country Club.
He used a 7-iron.
Witnesses were Dean Little, Bob Hedden and Gordon Feeney.
The ace was Davis' fourth.
Curtis scores hole in one at Cape Jaycee course
Charles Curtis of McClure, Ill., scored a hole in one Friday on the 18th hole at Cape Jaycee Municipal Golf Course.
Curtis used a 5-wood for his ace on the par-3, 177-yard finishing hole.
Frank Moore witnessed the event.
