Milton Bradley has probably played his last game for the Cleveland Indians. Bradley was barred from the team's training camp Thursday, one day after getting pulled from an exhibition game by manager Eric Wedge for not running out a popup. Now the Indians are trying to trade the temperamental center fielder. The 25-year-old outfielder had a .421 on-base percentage last year with 10 homers, 56 RBIs and 17 stolen bases. He missed the final six weeks with a back injury.

The father of a former Southern Mississippi player says documents he has given to an attorney show the school's men's basketball program blatantly violated NCAA rules, including making alleged payments to players. James Pattman Sr., the father of former USM guard James Pattman Jr. said he obtained handwritten statements from players on the 2002-03 team. New USM coach Larry Eustachy and university officials have refused to comment on the allegations.

Eight-time Pro Bowl guard Ruben Brown agreed to a three-year deal with the Chicago Bears. The former Buffalo Bills standout could sign as early as today. Brown, 32, would be the second major addition to Chicago's offensive line this season. The Bears earlier signed John Tait to a six-year, $33 million deal after luring the right tackle away from the Kansas City Chiefs.

Serena Williams advanced to the final of the Nasdaq-100 Open by beating Eleni Daniilidou 6-4, 6-4. Her opponent Saturday will be No. 5 Elena Dementieva. Dementieva beat No. 8 Nadia Petrova 6-4, 6-2. Andy Roddick and Vince Spadea advanced to the semifinals at Key Biscayne for the first time and will meet Friday night. The No. 2-seeded Roddick came from behind twice and won the final four games to beat No. 5 Carlos Moya 5-7, 6-2, 7-5.
