Doug Spada saw more action than his team would have liked during the recently concluded Southeast Missouri State football season.
But when called upon, Spada delivered for the Redhawks.
Spada, the team's punter and place-kicker, earned a spot as the punter on The Associated Press' All-America third team, which was announced Wednesday.
Spada, a junior, earned honorable mention last season.
He ranked third nationally in punting, averaging 44.7 yards per kick.
Spada's longest punt was 65 yards, and he placed 12 kicks inside the opponent's 20-yard line.
Other Ohio Valley Conference players to earn a spot on the teams were Tennessee State offensive lineman Cornelius Lewis and Murray State linebacker Nathan Williams on the first team.
Eastern Kentucky kicker Taylor Long, Eastern Illinois defensive lineman Pierre Walters and UT-Martin defensive back Dontrell Miller earned spots on the second team.
Murray State defensive lineman Austen Lane and Jacksonville State defensive back Carnell Clark joined Spada on the third team.
