The former lineman, who died in 2003, will have scholarship in his name.

The family and friends of the late Mark Munsell, a four-year football letterman at Southeast Missouri State, have endowed a football scholarship to honor the former standout lineman.

Munsell played as a defensive lineman and deep snapper for Southeast from 1991 through 1994. He died unexpectedly in November, 2003.

Led by his wife, Jill, the Mark Munsell Foundation was formed and donated money to endow the Mark Munsell Memorial Scholarship.

Munsell's wife, other family members, and several Southeast football teammates will be honored in pre-game ceremonies Saturday night prior to the Southeast vs. Eastern Illinois football game at Houck Stadium.

A minimum donation of $10,000 is required to endow a scholarship at Southeast.
