Southeast Missouri State University's women's soccer team ended the regular season in impressive fashion Monday night as the Otahkians held visiting David Lipscomb without a shot and rolled to a 4-0 victory in front of 121 fans at Houck Stadium.

The Otahkians, who won just four times in last year's inaugural season of play, raised their record to 10-5-1 heading into the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament that begins Friday in Charleston, Ill. Southeast has won four straight games, all by shutout.

Lipscomb, an NAIA squad from Tennessee, fell to 4-9-1.

Southeast, which held an almost unbelievable 45-0 edge in shots, got two goals from Jen Zimmerman and one each from Nichole Thiele and Valerie Henderson. Erika Todd and Carolyn Behnen recorded assists.

Otahkian goalkeeper Tami Hebert recorded her OVC-leading eighth shutout of the season as she was not required to make a save. Hebert is Southeast's only senior.

Southeast, which finished in a three-way tie for third place in the six-team OVC, will play Morehead State at noon Friday in he first round of the league tournament at Eastern Illinois.
