The Southeast Missouri State soccer team started a stretch of four straight road games with Friday's 1-0 loss at Western Kentucky.

Southeast suffered its third consecutive defeat and fell to 3-4. The Hilltoppers improved to 2-3-2.

WKU scored the only goal in the 25th minute as Mallory Outerbridge recorded her third goal of the season.

That was the only hiccup in a strong performance by Southeast freshman goalkeeper Ashton Aubuchon, who tied her season high with six saves.

The Redhawks were outshot 16-13 as they suffered their second shutout loss of the season.

Libby Stout made three stops in goal for WKU.
