Southeast Missouri State freshman forward Stephanie Palmer has been named the Ohio Valley Conference's offensive player of the week for women's soccer.
Palmer was selected after scoring two goals during the Redhawks' two home games last week.
Palmer scored the only goal during Wednesday's 1-0 win over Washington University and got the tying goal to force overtime during Sunday's 3-2 loss to Ball State.
Palmer is tied with Southeast senior Ashley Runion for the team and OVC lead with four goals this season. Palmer's nine points rank second on the squad behind Runion's 12.
The Redhawks (3-2) close out a three-game homestand at 7 p.m. Friday when Stetson visits Houck Stadium.
The Southeast baseball team has completed its coaching staff with the recent addition of volunteer assistant Josh Stoetzel.
Stoetzel coached last season at Oswego State University in New York, his alma mater, where he batted .360 in two seasons for the Division III school.
Stoetzel is from North Syracuse, N.Y., where he played his first two years at Onondaga Community College for current Southeast assistant Chris Cafalone.
