Here's a quick rundown on what happened in local sports on Tuesday, Dec. 19.

__Boys Basketball__

Scott City defeated Saxony Lutheran 62-58 on Tuesday. Kobe Watson led the Rams with 28 points while Kaden Lowery added 12 points. Luke Eggemeyer led the Crusaders with 22 points while John Hartman added 14 points.

Chaffee defeated Advance 71-65 on Tuesday. Shelton Simmons led the Red Devils with 18 points, while Blake Yarbro scored 16 points.

__Girls Basketball__

Advance defeated Campbell 51-23 to win third place in the Charleston Christmas Tournament on Tuesday. Kaylee Cline led the Hornets with 15 points.

__Girls Swimming__

Cape Central finished second place in the Rockwood Quad on Tuesday. Sydney Ringwald finished first in the 100-yard freestyle and 50-yard freestyle. Tommy Ann Marriott finished first in the dive.

__Wrestling from last weekend__

Jackson sent the varsity squad to the Lee`s Summit Holiday Invitational and the junior varsity squad to the Tiger Classic on Saturday. Kamden Gerhardt (106) and Landon Vassalli (126) placed first in their respective weight classes, while Graidy Rice (113) and Bryson Wessell (215) finished in second place. As a team, Jackson finished second in the 25-team tournament. The JV team finished fifth in the Tiger Classic. Will Bortner placed first in the 113-pound weight class, while Fisher Shirrell (120) Rawley Evans (126) Lucas Fox (138) placed second.

Notre Dame saw two wrestlers win first place in their respective weight classes in the Brentwood Invitational on Saturday. Oscar Kester placed 1st in the 106-pound bracket by winning all four matches by first round pins. Charlie West also won the 215-pound weight class with all four wins by fall.

Cape Central hosted the Tiger Classic and finished ninth on Saturday. Davarious Nunley took first place in the 190-pound weight class, winning the last three matches by fall. Jackie Zhang finished second in the 165-pound weight class.
