Scott County Central senior guard Larandis Banks scored 38 points to lead the Braves to a 64-62 win over Leopold in the Class 1 District 2 championship game last week.

Banks' performance, which included the basket that broke a 62-62 tie, extended SCC's streak of district titles to 11 years.

He averaged 23.3 points in the Braves' three district games, which included a 71-point rout of McKinley Classical Leadership Academy in the first round and a 38-point win over Bell City in the semifinals.

Banks was first-team all-state as a junior.
