Forward Abby Boyer continued a strong start to her senior soccer season by scoring the winning goal in double overtime to lift Notre Dame to a 2-1 victory over Jackson in the championship game of the Noon Optimist Club tournament last week.

Boyer also scored two goals in a 3-1 semifinal victory over Perryville.

Earlier in the week, Boyer converted on her penalty kick in a season-opening shootout win over perennial power St. Pius X.

Boyer, who missed the bulk of her junior season due to a knee injury, already has five goals for the unbeaten Bulldogs. She recently signed a letter of intent to play soccer for Central Methodist University.
