Advance's Dalton Wilson scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Hornets to a 64-53 win over the Dexter Bearcats on Friday's homecoming night at Advance High School.
"It makes a world of difference when we knock down shots," Advance coach Dennis Wheetley said. "I thought we worked the ball well and played together well. They didn't care who scored. We got the ball inside to Dawson, which opened things up outside."
The 6-foot senior is leading the Hornets in scoring this season, averaging 15.7 points per game. He's shooting 53 percent from the floor and 73 percent from the free-throw line.
Advance will wrap up its regular season against visiting Leopold and host Oran before beginning the Class 1, District 2 tournament next week at Bell City High School.
