Southeast Missouri State senior guard Jasmine Robinson was selected Ohio Valley Conference's Newcomer of the Week on Tuesday following a career performance last week.
Robinson's career-high 27 points against Murray State on Saturday helped the Redhawks claim an 88-66 victory, which also marked the most points Southeast had scored since putting up 91 in a win over Central Arkansas in 2007.
She shot 10 of 12 from the field and also grabbed five rebounds along with a pair of assists, a block and a steal.
In a loss to OVC leader UT Martin last Wednesday, Robinson tallied 10 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals.
The Redhawks (10-16, 3-10 OVC) return to action against Eastern Illinois (8-17, 5-7 OVC) at 1 p.m. Saturday in Charleston, Illinois.
The Southeast baseball team's home series against Illinois State this weekend has been moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana, due to weather.
The Redhawks (2-1) and the Redbirds (1-2) will now play a three-game series at Cowboy Diamond on the campus of McNeese State University.
Game 1 is slated for 2 p.m. Friday and the series will conclude with a pair of games Saturday at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
