The Southeast Missouri State women's soccer team surrendered a pair of second-half goals in a 2-0 loss to Memphis on Wednesday in an exhibition contest at Houck Stadium.
Memphis broke up a scoreless game when Elysia Masters scored off a free kick by teammate Olivia Gauthier from about 35 yards out in the 65th minute.
Masters assisted on an insurance goal 20 minutes later when Diamond Simpson scored off Masters' corner kick.
Southeast goalkeeper Kindra Lierz made three saves, while Maryse Bard-Martel made two saves in shutting out the Redhawks.
Southeast will officially open its season at Missouri S&T at 6 p.m. Aug. 21.
