The Southeast Missouri State women's basketball team hosts NAIA William Woods on the eve of the Redhawks' Ohio Valley Conference opener.

The Owls visit the Show Me Center for an 11 a.m. contest today. Southeast (6-6) will kick off OVC action with a home game vs. Belmont on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

The Redhawks will try to snap a two-game losing streak after dropping a 63-54 game against Central Arkansas on Dec. 13 and a 72-87 loss to Southern Illinois on Dec. 22.

The Owls are 8-3 on the season. Southeast won last year's meeting with William Woods 77-40.

Senior guard Erin Bollmann, who's averaging 10 points and 7.2 rebounds this season, led the Redhawks with 14 points,11 rebounds and four steals in that game.

Forward Nia Lateju was the only William Woods player to score in double figures, finishing with 10 points and nine rebounds.

Lateju, a 6-foot senior, averages 12.7 points and 7.5 rebounds to pace the Owls.

Kennedy Volkhart, a 6-2 junior center, averages 9.8 points and 7.9 rebounds.
