The Southeast Missouri State volleyball team lost in straight sets (25-14, 25-17, 25-23) to UT Martin on the road Tuesday night.
The Skyhawks jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first set and never led by fewer than three the remainder of the way en route to their 25-14 win.
Southeast trailed 7-6 in the second set before a 5-0 UTM run broke it open for good, cruising to a 25-17 victory.
The Redhawks faced its largest deficit of Set 3 at 21-12.
After cutting it to 23-16 Southeast scored seven unanswered points -- three were kills by Taylor Masterson -- to even it at 23.
Kills by UTM's Lael Ceriani and Kiah Cheatham closed out the set and gave the Skyhawks the three-set victory.
Madalyn Werths had nine kills to lead Southeast and hit .368 while Masterson finished with eight and hit .318.
The Redhawks are now 10-18 and 6-9 in the OVC and hosts Jacksonville State in the regular-season finale at 2 p.m. Saturday.
