The Southeast Missouri State tennis team fell to Northwestern State 6-1 on Thursday in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
Maria Montenegro defeated Barbara Kollarova 6-3, 6-4 at No. 4 singles to earn the Redhawks' only point of the day.
Southeast (1-13) lost in straight sets at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5 singles, while the Redhawks' Annisa Warasanti fell to Kateryna Piatakova in three sets, 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (10-5).
Northwestern (7-6) won at all three spots in doubles play to secure the point.
Southeast returns to action Sunday against Jacksonville State in its first home match of the season.
