The Southeast Missouri State men's and women's indoor track teams won a total of 16 events in a dual meet sweep of SIU Edwardsville on Saturday.

The men won 83-70, while the women prevailed 79-70.

Former Jackson High School star Blake Smith led the way for the Southeast men with two first-place finishes, including a school-record 6.75 seconds in the 60-meter dash. He also won the long jump with a leap of 24 feet, 11.25 inches. Central High School graduate Chris Martin won the triple jump (50-4.75).

Other winning performances by the Southeast men were by Kevin Farley in the weight throw (63-3.5) and shot put (56-7.5), Chris Navarro in the 60 hurdles (8.25), Christian Locke in the pole vault (14-11), Charles Johnson in the 800 (2:03.95) and the distance relay team.

On the women's side, Courtney Gapelu led the way with firsts in the weight throw (59-10.5) and shot put (46-6.25). Former Central High School standout Mary Dohogne won the mile (5:06.86). Other winning performances were turned in by Jessica Brown in the long jump (19-11), Erica Grajales in the pole vault (11-5.75), Megan Parks in the 800 (2:31.10) and Chante Mosby in the high jump (5-5).
