The Southeast Missouri State softball team twice let late leads get away, as it was swept by Arkansas, 7-4 and 4-3, in a doubleheader Wednesday at the Southeast Softball Complex.
The contests were delayed two and a half hours due to rain.
A Haylee Krack home run pushed the Redhawks to a 4-1 advantage in the fifth inning of Game 1, only to see the Razorbacks (15-23) send 10 hitters to the plate in the top of the sixth inning.
Claire Wernig also homered for Southeast, the first of her career.
In Game 2, Southeast took a 3-2 edge into the seventh inning and had Arkansas down to its final out before an error set up a two-run home run by Ashley Diaz to give the visitors the lead.
Madeline Krumrey (5-7) took the loss in the opener, while Mackenzie Hoelting had the decision in the nightcap.
