The Southeast Missouri State track and field teams both finished third during the Ohio Valley Conference indoor meet held Friday and Saturday in Charleston, Ill.
Host Eastern Illinois repeated as champion in both the men's and women's divisions.
EIU's men scored 238 points to beat easily Eastern Kentucky (99) and Southeast (94).
Things were much tighter in the women's meet. The Panthers scored 177 1/3 points, with Eastern Kentucky (139) and Southeast (106 1/2) rounding out the top three.
Southeast claimed four individual titles, capturing the weight throw and shot put in both divisions.
Senior Brandon Colbert, who was named the OVC male indoor field athlete of the year Thursday, shattered his own meet record in the weight throw with a distance of 65 feet, 6 1/4 inches.
Colbert's previous record, set last year, was 61-6 3/4.
Southeast's other men's champion was sophomore Craig Robinson in the shot put. He also placed third in the weight throw.
Senior Brianna Egbuka, a Central High School graduate who won the OVC's female indoor field athlete of the year award Thursday, claimed the weight throw.
Egbuka was second in the shot put, behind freshman teammate Courtney Gapelu.
Southeast grabbed a pair of second-place finishes in both divisions.
Senior Tyler Terry from Central was second in the long jump. He also placed fourth in the triple jump.
Senior Jason Lumpkin was second in the 5,000 meters while finishing third in the 3,000.
Junior Shemeika Brewer was second in the triple jump and freshman Erica Grajales placed second in the pole vault.
Several other local products contributed for the Redhawks.
Senior Rachel Kahle (Jackson) placed third in the 60, seventh in the 200, eighth in the long jump and was part of the fourth-place 1,600 relay team.
Senior Mary Pearson (Central) was fourth in the long jump, sophomore Jill Schnurbusch (Notre Dame) was fourth in the pole vault and junior Tiffany Mead (Central) was on the eighth-place distance medley relay squad.
Junior Max Wieser (Saxony Lutheran) was eighth in the 800 and ran a leg on the third-place distance medley relay squad.
Sophomore Jared Siemers (Central) was seventh in the weight throw.

The Southeast softball team split four games during the opening two rounds of the Ole Miss Red & Blue Classic in Oxford, Miss.
Southeast (3-6) bounced back Saturday to beat Louisiana Tech 5-4 and Austin Peay 6-3 after opening the tournament Friday with losses to South Alabama 8-3 and Western Kentucky 8-5.
The Redhawks had 10 hits against Louisiana Tech, led by junior Cheyenne Gipson with three. She also stole two bases.
Senior Carmen Fowler drove in two runs.
Four Southeast pitchers combined on a four-hitter. Freshman Alora Marble, the Redhawks' final hurler, notched the victory with 1 2/3 one-hit shutout innings. Sophomore Taylor Cowan allowed just one hit and one run in four innings.
Southeast scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning to erase a 3-2 deficit and rally past rival Austin Peay.
Fowler and junior Renee Kertz both had two hits and two RBIs. The Redhawks finished with seven hits.
Cowan was the winner with four three-hit shutout innings to end the contest. Marble started and gave up three runs on four hits over the first three innings.
Southeast had seven hits against South Alabama, and Kertz delivered two of them. Freshman Shea Cothren took the loss, allowing four runs on two hits and six walks in 1 1/3 innings.
The Redhawks pounded 11 hits against Western Kentucky, led by senior Nicole Troncoso's three. She doubled twice. Cowan belted her team-high second home run of the season and had two RBIs. Junior Evan Sallis added two hits.
Marble suffered the loss, giving up six hits and four runs in five innings.
Southeast finishes tournament play today against host Mississippi.
The Southeast gymnastics team posted a season-high road score late Thursday night to finish second at the Central Michigan quadrangular meet.
Southeast scored a 193.875, just behind the host squad's 194.875. Eastern Michigan was third (191.475) and Alaska-Anchorage fourth (188.900).
Senior Brianna Gaddie tied for first on vault with a 9.850.
It was Gaddie's sixth vault title of the season and 16th of her career. She also tied for fifth on floor (9.800).
Senior Christina Sundgren was second on bars with a 9.850, tying her season high. Freshman Megan Fosnow tied for third (9.750).
Sophomore Taylor Westrick placed second on beam (9.825). Sophomore Angela Serafini was fifth (9.750).
Westrick was Southeast's top all-arounder, tying for third (38.725).
Westrick was named Midwest Independent Conference gymnast of the week Thursday for her Feb. 19 performance against Texas Woman's University.
Westrick was first on beam with a 9.875, matching her career high, and won the all-around with a career-best 39.100.
She also tied for second on floor with a career-high 9.850 and tied for third on bars.
Southeast returns to action March 6 when it hosts Centenary College at 2 p.m.
