Southeast Missouri State had 128 student-athletes named to the 2015-16 Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll, which was released by the league on Wednesday.
The recipients were required to have achieved a 3.25 GPA as well as maintain their eligibility throughout the competitive season in their chosen sport and used a season of competition.
"Our student-athletes remain committed to excelling in the classroom and in competition, and I'm extremely proud of the accomplishments of all of our award recipients," Director of Athletics Brady Barke said in a press release. "The number of our student-athletes being honored for the academic achievement is a reflection of the quality of young men and women that participate for Southeast."
The Southeast women's soccer team had the most representation on the honor roll with 21 recipients, while women's track and field (20) and football (19) followed closely behind. The Redhawks' baseball team had 13 student-athletes earn the distinction, while women's cross country, women's volleyball and women's gymnastics each had 11 representatives.
The OVC named a total of 1,335 student-athletes to this year's honor roll, setting a new mark for the sixth straight year.
The conference will announce the recipients of the Academic Medal of Honor, the Academic Achievement Award and the Team Achievement Awards later this week.
