Southeast Missouri State football coach Tom Matukewicz indicated via text message Thursday that rising junior Tyler McLemore currently remains with the team following the resolution of his court case after an arrest stemming from an incident March 22.

"If Tyler finishes what we had lined out for him by [the start of school], he'll be good," Matukewicz said.

A charge of first-degree felony attempted burglary was dismissed after it was found that there was "insufficient evidence, circumstantial or otherwise," to find probable cause that McLemore had committed the crime, according to case paperwork acquired from the Circuit Court of Cape Girardeau County.

McLemore plead guilty to a second charge of Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana and was assessed a $100 fine.

Beyond confirming McLemore's status with the football program, Matukewicz declined comment.

The 20-year-old wide receiver started the final six games of the 2015 season, posting seven catches for 76 yards and one touchdown. As a redshirt freshman he appeared in three games for Southeast.

Along with McLemore, the same charges were filed against Levonte Hobbs, a 19-year-old Southeast Missouri State student from Alton, Illinois, where McLemore attended high school. The attempted burglary charge against Hobbs was also dismissed; he plead guilty for Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

A third individual -- an unnamed Redhawks football player -- was arrested on the night of the incident but released without charges.
