The Southeast Missouri State women's basketball team announced the signing of junior college transfer Amanda Madden, a 6-foot-1 forward, on Tuesday.
Madden started 29 games and averaged 9.7 points and 5.3 rebounds for a Hutchinson Community College squad that finished with a 27-4 record this past season.
Madden, who will be a junior, was a three-year starter at Topeka High School, where she served as team captain her junior and senior seasons and finished with a school-record 231 blocks.
She joins the 2016-17 recruiting class that also includes Laykin Gulley, Jessie Harshberger, Iyanna McCurdy and LaShala Saine.
The Southeast volleyball team announced the signing of hitter Alyssa Wolslegel, who helped Appleton North High School to a third-place finish in the Wisconsin state tournament this past season.
Wolslegel registered 311 kills and 30 blocks in collecting second-team all-conference and honorable mention all-state honors.
She is the third member of the Southeast's 2016 signing class, which also includes middle blocker Krista Berns and hitter Mikayla Kuhlmann.
