The Southeast Missouri State baseball team continues its fan-friendly, early portion of the schedule with four home games over the next three days.
And area baseball fans will not only get to see the Redhawks in action at Capaha Field this weekend, there will be two other games involving collegiate squads.
It's all part of the Little Caesars Pizza Classic that will feature Southeast, Creighton, Indiana State and Southeastern Louisiana.
"It should be a really good weekend of baseball," Southeast coach Mark Hogan said.
Southeast (4-4) will have what amounts to a doubleheader today, when the Redhawks play Indiana State (1-4) at noon and Southeastern Louisiana (6-4) at 4 p.m.
On Saturday, Creighton (5-3) plays Southeastern Louisiana at noon, with Southeast facing Indiana State at 4 p.m.
The event concludes on Sunday with Indiana State playing Southeastern Louisiana at noon and Southeast facing Creighton at 4 p.m.
"I think people will enjoy watching these teams play," Hogan said. "Everybody should be very competitive."
Creighton could be particularly potent, as the BlueJays are the defending Missouri Valley Conference champions. They started this season 0-3, but have posted five consecutive wins.
Southeastern Louisiana also figures to be solid. The Lions have already taken two of three games against defending Ohio Valley Conference champion Jacksonville State.
Hogan emphasized that this is not a tournament, so no team champion will be determined nor will there be an individual all-tournament squad.
"It's just a good chance for us to play three different teams," Hogan said. "It's a good format."
The Little Caesars Pizza Classic is part of a stretch of seven straight home games for Southeast, which has 10 of its first 15 games at home.
Overall, the Redhawks have 32 home contests in a 56-game schedule.
